Girls Basketball In Action, Boys Tryouts Monday
On Monday, the Girls Basketball defeated the Weiss School in a friendly scrimmage. All of the Sharks scored, and even got a chance to practice with the Weiss squad, making a it a fun learning experience. The girls lost to Franklin (Palm Beach Gardens) on Wednesday, 21-13, with Wana J. racking up 11 points and Destiny R. netting two. Introducing the Earth Ambassadors!
We are pleased to announce a new name for our Green Ambassadors. They can all now boast that they are EARTH AMBASSADORS! This new name more closely aligns itself with our Stand Up for the Earth school-wide environmental focus. This is an elite and dedicated group of kids, selected by a strict code of conduct and academics. They can be seen wearing their lime green shirts as they do our semi-weekly recycle pick-up of plastic and paper. These "earthy" kids are raising awareness

Choosing A High School Is Easier With Information
Thank you to all the families who came to our annual Choice Program Night. We had representatives from 13 area high schools, including charter and privates schools. Eighth graders have a lot of options about where they go to high school, but there are rules and deadlines that must be adhered to. For example, a student can apply to as many charter and private high school programs as they want- greatly increasing their opportunities! Make sure you've read through the District C

Girls Play Two Next Week, Boys Tryouts Nov. 14
The Girls Basketball team has a busy week ahead as they prepare to take on the Weiss School on Monday, Nov. 7 at the Burns Road Recreation Center. On Wednesday, Nov. 9, the girls will be back in action against Franklin Academy in Palm Beach Gardens. Both games start at 4 PM. Tryouts for the Boys Basketball team will be held on Nov. 14 after school. All paperwork must be signed and notarized before tryouts. See Mr. Laders or Mr. Newby for more information.

BFA At The Feast Of Little Italy
For over a decade, the Feast of Little Italy in Jupiter has showcased Italian American heritage and culture through art, music, and of course, food! Bright Futures Academy will be at the feast starting tonight, Friday, and through Saturday and Sunday. It's in Downtown Abacoa. Be sure and stop in and say "Buongiorno!" This event is super fun and family friendly - we hope to see lots of you all there!
