Eighth graders wrapped up their experience with charcoal pastels by working on toned paper. By using toned paper, students were able to create more depth in their composition and experiment with value scales. In certain areas of their image, they only needed to add shadows or highlights.
Fifth graders have been experimenting with warm and cool color schemes. They created two separate color scheme paintings, cut them up, and then wove them together to examine the rhythm and movement that was created in their work.
