Middle school artists have been studying the Renaissance and learning about the incredible innovations and the artistic achievements that came from this time period, which marks the birth of what we know as “modern art”. Currently 5th-8th graders are developing a 3D model based on a technical drawing and bringing their image to life. Students used their knowledge of linear perspective (a characteristic of Renaissance art) to design an interior space and create their Dream “Green” classroom.
By using the technique of linear perspective, students are able to develop and design a believable and proportional illusion of a 3D space on a flat piece of paper!
Once their classroom design was completed, they built a 3D model of this interior space. Stay tuned for some spectacular and sustainable classroom designs!
