We've been clearing out a lot of the old stuff around the Riverside campus. Since we're getting all new computers, we found a way to donate our old ones and they got hauled away! Over half a ton of e-waste containing lead, along with lower levels of mercury, arsenic, cadmium, beryllium and other toxic chemicals, kept out of our landfills. In addition, we donated our old classroom furniture to Resource Depot.
The landscapers have dropped off their equipment in preparation for their projects and we have had a temporary storage container to store some of the furniture and stuff to make sure the classrooms are completely empty as we refurbish and repaint.
And in the EDU-Garden we've been fixing up the chicken coop and using enviromentaly-friendly paint to brighten our chickens' lives.
